Monsters of Rock

Having taken last year's festival by storm - it helps when you have Thor the God of Thunder on sound - the Monsters of Rock return to bring metal to the masses. This year's line up features four bands competing for survival.

Headliners Resonant - formerly known as Ditch - describe themselves as melodic death metal and feature their own original compositions. The band has grown in stature over the year and now makes regular trips around the country creating mayhem and great music.

They're closely followed by Downfall, a group that's been making a reputation for themselves since their Teenage Kicks gigs.

Also on the bill are Supplicium, an original metal band from Portlaoise and Celtic Punch, a local cover outfit.
