Josh Elwell Theatre Presents Puck’s Bottom

Based on 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' - 'Puck's Bottom' is an enchanting tale for young people (from 5 upwards) and their families. It is a visual, gentle and magical show with hand carved puppets and an original musical score, inspired by traditional English and African folk music. A tapestry of original text, slapstick, puppetry, magic and music.

" Hilariously inventive, well crafted and extremely entertaining. I thoroughly recommend this one-man show.” Tony Andrews - Ringwood Waldorf School
“Beautifully put together and performed....the puppets were wonderful.”Catherine Sandbrook - Salisbury Arts Centre
“A wonderful and excellent production!” Kaohsiung Puppet Festival

On the edge of the forest lives Billy Mario the international video gaming champion. When an abandoned baby Jackdaw is left on his doorstep Billy’s life is transformed in a way that never seemed possible. He sets out on a journey of ancient traditions, spells and puppet paparazzi! Puppetry, live music, projected animation and a riveting narrative (based on a true story) all combine in a show that will charm the whole family young and old.  “The mix of story telling, puppetry and song made for a beautiful and delicate piece of theatre.” Waterford Arts Festival, Ireland.
